This was our 2nd time to Koli Equestrian. The first time we did a group ride which included about 8 people. The 2nd ride was a private ride of 4 people. The guides were knowable, professional and really explained the native people, the horses, and the land. Very enjoyable and memorable. Hope to return next year. They have a variety of rides offered online. Great people and horses.

It was my friends and I first time visiting koli equestrian center and they went above and beyond giving us a great first experience. The check-in process was super smooth. We were helped guided on our ride by Colton and he made the experience easy to check , gave good instruction, very kind and had good conversation with our group and even took pictures for us! Ending the ride we got margaritas after and met Matt and Ray . Who were also very welcoming, gave fun facts and history of koli equestrian center. Over all we had an amazing time and will be going back !

What a great time. We did the sunset Margarita ride. The horses were great, well mannered, and clean. The Ray and the other wranglers were awesome, full of personality and really loved their jobs. We are staying at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass. Koli provided a free shuttle from the resort. And of course the margaritas topped off a good time.

Chuy and Buffalo were kind, helpful and generous with sharing of the history of the area. Billy(my horse) was very forgiving of my lack of finesse. I wouldn’t recommend you go anywhere else. Hubby’s horse was a beautiful Amish Draft.

My husband and I came for the sunrise trail walk today (11/1/25 to start our anniversary weekend off) and had a wonderful time. The horses, Charm and Aspin were beautiful and so calm, our wrangler (cannot remember his name for the life of me, but we want him to know he was amazing!) was so chill and a great guide. He gave us the back story of Koli, talked about the wildlife and horses in the equestrian center and made sure we had a great time! We'll be back again! Its a great trail for all levels, same with the horses!

Always a great time at KOLI I've been back several times because of the great care they give to each person every time. It doesn't matter if it's your 1st time riding or 200th time they remain patient and caring. This visit was the margaritas sunset ride, epic evening. Wish you could hang with the horses after the ride but hanging with Chewy, Mat and Ray was real cool and full of laughter. Great place 👌 ❤️

We did the private horseback ride for 90-minutes for our anniversary. Matthew did a great job and made it possible for us to see a herd of wild horses during the ride. It was a great time, very peaceful and quiet out there while riding. It was well worth it and we're glad we went!! We would definitely recommend any of the rides with Koli Equestrian as they take great care to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience. You'll be in great hands! Also, very nice to see how well all of their animals are taken care and how well they know each one. Schedule a ride; you'll be glad you did!

My family and I had to most AMAZING experience. Everyone there was very welcoming, kind and fun. The whole ride was entertaining as the gentlemen guiding us kept us engaged and talking. The guides also gave us plenty of direction to keep us comfortable and knowledgeable on how to take care of maintain the specific horses we had. They went over the personality of our horse and the likes/dislikes but even then our horses were so precious and so well behaved. It was truly an incredible time and my family will be back soon to do lessons/private rides!!!! I can’t remember the names of the gentlemen we worked with but it was on Sunday, October 5th.

I had such an amazing horseback riding experience with Nate and Coltan! They were true cowboys, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the whole ride both fun and relaxing. My horse, Boba, was incredibly well trained and such a joy to ride. We got to enjoy some delicious salsa and refreshing margaritas afterward, which made it even better. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a perfect mix of adventure, hospitality, and cowboy charm! Make sure you’re on time!!! They run a very strict schedule over there.

My team and I booked a 90 minute private ride for a team building even. We had such a great experience! Our guide, Colton, was entertaining and engaging for the entire ride. He was very knowledgeable about the area and an excellent horseman! We saw the wild horses early in the ride and also happened upon a pack of coyotes. It was a beautiful morning and I highly recommend this experience!!

My seven-year-old daughter and I joined the 8 AM ride, and to our delight, we were the only two in the group. Our guide, Ray, made the experience truly unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, personable, and went out of his way to make the ride both educational and enjoyable. Along the way, we learned about everything from grooming practices and ranch life to the surrounding desert landscape. A highlight was seeing herds of wild horses—an incredible sight we’ll never forget. All of the ranch horses were beautifully cared for—healthy, well-groomed, and clearly loved. My best friend and I just had a great 1st time experience with Matt doing a 30min guided ride! When we booked thought it be fun to do the 60min sunset ride, but not going to lie Im on the Autism spectrum and never really liked horses until a few years ago when I rode my friends, was kinda nervous about riding a horse alone with no guide or anything to help if needed. So ended up taking to the workers about my situation and they suggested the shorter ride. From the time we got there Matt and other wranglers were nothing but nice and understanding. The sunset tour was everything I could've hoped for & more! Do yourself a favor & book with KOLI to experience a relaxing & fun experience with phenomenal views. The staff is friendly & helpful. Danielle is the best tour guide! She not only knows her stuff, but she is incredibly passionate about what she does. You can tell how much she adores her horse. I loved this sunrise horseback tour with Ray — he was wonderful, and the horses were exceptional. I haven’t ridden in years, yet riding Tonka felt as natural as getting back in the saddle. You can tell Ray genuinely enjoys what he does and has a real love for horses, which made the tour all the more special. We even saw wild horses and crossed a little stream along the way. I’d absolutely come back for a longer ride next time.

My group had a fantastic experience at KOLI equestrian center! Our group of four had very little experience on horses and were a little nervous. Every horse we were with (there was another small group on the trail with us) was very well behaved and listened well. Ray did a great job of explaining how to manage the horse, keeping us calm and comfortable, and being personable! He told us the history of the horses and any cute stories about them as well as the area. At the end they took pictures of us on our horses and gave us some water! They offer private rides if you would not like to go with another group but it was very easy to steer the horses to ride near my friends if I wanted to. Make sure to wear pants to protect your legs against the saddle and definitely a hat or sunglasses!!

Great ride with great guides. We were in town for my birthday and this was a wonderful experience. I rode Romeo. He was a great horse, a bit stubborn at times, but a really great horse. With me being a first time rider, I felt comfortable and safe. We were able to see wild horses, a baby rattle snake, and an amazing sunset. It was a great experience I won’t forget.

Our trail ride with Ray on May 16 was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the area and on how to manage the horses. On our ride he was able to locate the herd of wild mustangs. They were eating and playing for several minutes. I would highly recommend using KOLI for a fun experience whether just visiting or for residents. The resort also offers a Mustang and Massage where they will bring the horses to you for a ride, then you go back for your massage. I may try that next time.

There is not a character limit long enough to share the number of nice things I have to say about Horse Daddy, Dr. Love and the entire wrangler team at KOLI Equestrian Center. From the minute they picked myself and two colleagues at our hotel, the good natured banter and positive vibes were on full display. We were treated to an incredible experience riding well trained horses through the Wild Horse Pass desert. From start to finish, everything was top-notch! Our wranglers, Ray and Danielle, were exceptional—they quickly learned everyone’s names, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Safety was clearly their top priority, and they provided thorough instructions to ensure everyone felt confident. The horses were a highlight—healthy, well-cared-for, and expertly matched to each rider’s skill level. Ray and Danielle’s knowledge and care shone through as they encouraged us to give the horses plenty of personal space, making this a refreshing departure from typical nose-to-tail trail rides. The ride itself was breathtaking, winding through the stunning desert landscape with its rugged, dry terrain. We were so thrilled with the ride that we immediately booked the Margarita Sunset Ride for later that evening! This experience was amazing. Our tour guides, Nate and I think Matt (I am terrible with names but trust me when I say they were great), were very informative and really made the experience. We did the sunset margarita ride and the sunset was beautiful, the margaritas were great, and my first time riding a horse was amazing! Highly recommend!

Sunset Horse Riding was a great experience! Horses are very well trained. Wranglers are very welcoming and knowledgeable :) We heard there is Mustang & Spa available to get a ride and a massage from Gila River Casino combination ! We will definitely be back for that !

We had the greatest time on this ride. The guys at KOLI were so nice and helpful. They told us the history of the land we were riding on which we all found interesting. The facilities were very clean and nice. Restrooms were available. The margaritas were a nice end to a beautiful sunset ride. The horses were great and well behaved which was nice because most of us were not experienced riders. We would highly recommend this tour!

Great experience! Wranglers Robert and Jay were excellent and knowledgeable. All riders in my group had no experience and they helped us feel comfortable. They both engaged everyone in the group. A definite must trail ride

An actual life changing experience. Cameron was an incredible tour guide with great stories to tell and he answered all of my questions with great perspective. The tour was scenic and the photos with the horses also beautiful. At the time the ride was $75 for 90 minutes which is 1000% worth every penny. I knew I wanted to go horseback riding for my first visit to Arizona and I am so glad it was with Koli.

Great experience! My daughter and I did the margarita sunset ride and had a great time. Our guide Nate was fun and informative and the horses were amazing. If I ever get to come to the Phoenix area again I will go back.
