About Us

Don’t try this at home, Chuck’s a professional! Guests cannot recreate, rare-up their horse, or attempt this photo for their and the horses safety.

KOLI Equestrian Center has been proudly situated on the Gila River Indian Community since 2002. Chuck Pablo, a respected local tribal member, joined as one of the original wranglers. In 2004, KOLI became the home of Chuck’s Trail Riding Adventures when he assumed ownership. Nearly two decades later, Chuck has played a pivotal role in shaping the business into its current form. Chuck has also been seen playing softball on local and travel teams in his spare time.

In the early days, all ride reservations were recorded on a single sheet of paper; today, we have implemented a comprehensive booking system designed to provide our guests with easy access to ride availability and the ability to reserve their horseback riding experiences.

Chuck consistently demonstrates a profound commitment not only to his family and staff but also to the well-being of his horses. Throughout the year, our horses enjoy ample downtime, with access to spacious corrals, fresh water, and shade.

KOLI Equestrian Center has consistently ranked in the top 10% of TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards since 2019, a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional horseback riding experiences in the Greater Phoenix area.

KOLI Equestrian Center has evolved into a family-run operation. Chuck’s son, Robert, joined the team in 2015 at the age of 18 as a wrangler, bringing with him a lifelong passion for horses. After gaining valuable experience in the business, he has risen to the position of lead wrangler and is now the owner of our sister stable, AZ High Mountain Trail Rides at Mormon Lake. Additionally, Chuck’s daughter, Amber, became part of the team in 2019, focusing on the administrative aspects of the business.
