Love this place! Been on many guided trail rides, this doesn’t have the “nose to butt, single file line” feel at all! Our guide Ray was very knowledgeable, encouraged us to wander off the trail to give the horses space, and answered all of our questions. The horses were lovely, and Ray knew each one’s history. We took a private sunset ride and were able to see burrowing owls, wild horses, and a road runner! Definitely will be back here again, and highly recommend to those looking for a beautiful desert ride.

We had a wonderful experience with KOLI Equestrian Center for our son's first horseback ride. We received a prompt and free pickup at our resort (Sheraton) and easy drive over to the center. Children need to have their waiver signed electronically in advance, and adults sign a paper waiver at the office before taking the ride. We did a sunrise 60 minute trail ride which was the right length of ride for our son. The horses are docile and easy to ride. I would return again.

Was an amazing experience and the guide was awesome! The horses were calm and knew where they were going so you didn’t have to guide or kick them much. Fun experience for inexperienced riders as well.

Excellent experience with koli, from the second we arrived. I haven't been on a horse in decades, and they gave us clear and thorough information for the ride. Nate and Lorenzo took us on a beautiful calm walk and kept up conversation, telling us about the personalities of our horses as well as the nature in the area. The walk went really fast! Like the time passed quickly and all of a sudden we were back for margaritas and light snacks. Margaritas were tasty too!! Don't hesitate, this is definitely worth it!!!!! Beautiful scenery and a great experience!! Thank you koli equestrian center!!!

We had a great time riding today! Lorenzo, our wrangler, was so wonderful and made the experience outstanding. We stayed at the hotel near by and they provided transportation. We did the morning 1 hour ride and it was perfect! The horses are very well looked after and calm, if you’re thinking of doing a ride here, definitely do it!!!

Five stars for our margarita sunset trail ride! Lorenzo was an awesome guide with great local knowledge and took good care of us - so did our sweet horses, Charm and Geronimo, as we navigated a gorgeous route through the desert with a fun group of people. The margaritas were delicious as we ended the day watching the sunset overlooking the nice facility, cattle, and mountains in the background. As a lifelong rider, I appreciated seeing the great condition and treatment of the horses, it is clear this company prioritizes their welfare, which is refreshing to see in this industry. Thanks Koli team for giving us a highlight of our Arizona trip!

Wow! Such a great experience. My husband and I did the sunrise ride yesterday, it was basically my first time on a horse and my hubby is an avid rider. I felt very comfortable and safe with the instructions on riding the horse. Ray as the guide and his team were very patient and kind, you can tell they enjoy their job and want you to enjoy your experience as well. Ray was so great at sharing information about where we were riding, sharing things of interest and making sure everyone felt comfortable. I love that they keep the riding groups small. You can tell they take very good care of the horses- they are very well trained and not over worked. I had a great time and will definitely go back.

"I am very satisfied with the horse ride. The staff is very respectful, and our group of friends really enjoyed the horse rental. When you come to ride horses, you should understand that it’s not a luxury experience—there will be dust, smells, and other things like that. Not every horse can run fast because they are at different stages of training, and this process often takes a lot of time. For a first experience, it was just wonderful! So when you book your time for the ride, be sure to discuss the details in advance to avoid any misunderstandings later."

This is the second time using Koli. We took a hour trail ride in August, and a 90 minute one today. 2 different guides. Both were amazing! Today we saw the wild horses. Beautiful! Highly recommend this place.

Whether you are visiting AZ or live near Wild Horse Pass, Koli Equestrian Center is a wonderful place to go for a horseback ride. When my kids were young they took riding lessons there. This time my daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday by taking an hour ride through the AZ desert with friends. They had the best time - away from computers and cell phones (which were left at home) - they were able soak up the experience and enjoy their time together. I recommend it to anyone looking for nice way to spend a morning.

This experience was nothing short of amazing! I’m a beginner and the horse(Aspen) such a gentle giant, so patient and calm and easy to navigate. This was such an amazing experience but nonetheless Ray our guide was by far the most amazing!

The wranglers Ben and Sylvia did a great job providing instruction, making us laugh, and keeping the conversation flowing. It was a really fun and memorable experience. Can't recommend enough.

I cannot recommend KOLI Equestrian Center enough! I took a sunrise trail ride and it did not disappoint. The grounds were beautiful. The guide (I wish I could remember his name) was knowledgeable and super funny.i had never ridden a horse before and he gave me a walk through, the do's amd don'ts, and then gave me the most gentle horse (Bubba). I felt like a whole new person when I was done! I can't wait to do it again when I come visit next year!

Kiki was an amazing wrangler that took special care of my not so skillful or confident wife. Haha! We all had a blast as a family, felt engaged and very safe thanks to her leadership. My wife and I did the sunrise ride at 530am with Ray and it was amazing. He picked us up at the Sheraton next door. This was my first time on a horse but they were easy to ride and control. The weather at that time is perfect in June. Arizona summer is no joke, do the early ride.

I had the wonderful fortune of spending my birthday on a Sunset Margarita ride and oh my gosh, what an incredible experience it was! The horses were all so beautiful and Cowboy Nate was an absolute delight! You could really tell how much he loved his job! My husband and I had a blast - we can’t wait to come back and ride again and we can’t wait bring our friends and family, too!! Trust me, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to ride thru the gorgeous Arizona desert on such beautiful horses!!

I couldn’t possibly speak more highly of this place. My first experience was so amazing that I delayed my drive back home the following day just to get one more ride in! The people were genuine, kind, and funny. In my second ride, I was alone and my guide was Ben. I felt so safe, and had a beautiful ride with lovely conversation. I booked a team (24) event w/ the KOLI equestrian center that took place in May. My booking experience with Amber was GREAT! She promptly answered all of my questions, worked with my budget, and made great suggestions for the event. Amber and her staff made my team feel welcomed from the moment they picked us up via wagon! from the Sheraton Grande at Wild Horse Pass. The dinner was delicious (even my vegan teammates enjoyed their meal!) and the group games were perfect for a little competition among co-workers (you MUST do the lasso game!). This was a great event, in a beautiful location but made extra special by Amber and her hands on team! Thanks for a unique and wonderful experience!

My guides, Nate and Robert, were very personable and knowledgeable. They made the trip fun. I went on the Margarita Sunset ride. Near the end of the ride, the sun began to go down, it was a beautiful sight. Btw...the Margarita was very good, the tequila was definitely present. You have the Margarita at the end of the ride. I rode Bubba. The horses obeyed the commands we were instructed to use. Be sure to enjoy this experience when in the area.

This was the highlight of our trip! We stayed at the Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass Resort. Koli offered free transportation to and from this resort. Everyone at Koli were very friendly and welcoming. I had my 8 & 9 year old with me and they were so patient with them. The ride itself was beautiful and our guide was amazing. Overall, a fantastic experience and I highly recommend them!

You got to learn about the horses and stories. Could not have asked for a nicer and funnier tour guide. They teach you everything you need to know on how to ride, I had no experience and was told I did great. Overall it was great and I would go again.

Guides were great and it was nice that you didn't have to be in a nose to tail rode, could walk side by side and choose your own trail thru the dessert. We did the sunset ride which ended in a delightful margarita watching the sun set from their property. Horses seemed happy and very well cared for. :)

My husband and I took our two sons (9 & 11) on the 90 min. group ride. We all had a great time! There was one other large family with us, who were very nice. We were able to ride in a group rather than a line which allowed us to take in the gorgeous dessert views. We had two guides. Both were very kind and knowledgeable and put the group at ease with jokes and great conversation. We would definitely go again!

My girlfriend and I came for our reservation on 3/16/24. We were greeted by Nate, a wrangler, he was very welcoming and assisted with everything and made it a smooth process. Not sure what the other guys name was, but he was fantastic as well. 10/10 recommend for ANYONE, even on their first ride.

We asked questions about the land, comfortably shared stories, and were fortunate enough to have an incredible sighting of the wild horses close to our path.
