At KOLI Equestrian Center, Phoenix Horseback Trail Riding is available 7 days per week, year round. We are just minutes away from Central Phoenix where our 2400 acre property is home to some of the most breathtaking scenes in all of the Southwest. During the summer months we do earlier morning rides and one in the evening.
You can make any of our trail rides private (cost is a little more) with just you and a guide conducting your horseback trail ride. These Private Rides give you the opportunity to stop anywhere for pictures and to set the pace at your own speed whether it is walk only or trot. Our guide will strive to make your ride an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Whether a Group or Private guided horseback ride, we ride across over 2400 acres across the Gila River Indian Reservation. Beautiful Arizona landscaping featuring mountains in the distance, and native Arizona trees and plants. We will ride on tribal lands, rich in history, with the most magnificent views Southern Arizona has to offer. Please check in 15 minutes prior to ride time for our group to depart promptly. This is a strict policy as delays are not fair to other riders that were on time. If you are late for a Private Ride, your ride will be shorten. Please plan ahead.

Please note WE DO NOT RUN, CANTER OR TROT our horses due to the desert terrain and ground burrowing animals for the riders, and horses safety. Once riders demonstrate their ability to our staff, we MAY (not guaranteed) work pace up to light trot ONLY when on a PRIVATE RIDE in the arena area only. The ride will be at the weakest link’s ability. You must listen to and remain with our staff at all times.
Out here at KOLI Equestrian Center there is never any “head to tail” single line horseback riding, everyone is spread out and can get to know each other along the way. Friendly, qualified wranglers will advise you of the surroundings and what you need to know about our well trained horses.
